The Veteran’ entitlements system is unnecessarily complex and confusing and results in delays for veterans and their families to get the help they need.
The Government is currently undertaking public
consultation with an aim to consolidate more than a century of veterans’ legislation and three veterans’ entitlement Acts into a single ongoing Act.It is in response to the recommendations of the Interim Report by the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide and aims to simplify veteran compensation and rehabilitation legislation.
