It was an honour to be joined by former Prime Minister John Howard at the Last Post Ceremony to commemorate the opening of the 47th Parliament.
Our fortunate country today is neither the result of luck nor natural occurrence.
It has been forged, fought for, and defended by those before us.
The Australian War Memorial is a testament to ordinary Australians who did extraordinary things in our country’s name.
