South Australian Liberal Party
Communities along the River Murray are about to experience some significant challenges as waterflows rise, which is why the Opposition has been calling on the Malinauskas Labor Government to implement a River Rescue Plan as a matter of urgency.
Our four-point plan is strongly centred on: prevention first, then recovery.
It includes:
– a Flood and Mitigation Response Coordinator
– comprehensive evacuation and emergency accommodation plan
– a focussed effort on energy reliability including sourcing generators for community use if required and
– a targeted post-flood “Return to the Riverland” tourism package.
We know with the right focus, we can get through this difficult time together.
