Our thoughts are with River Murray communities grappling with rising water levels, and our team have been on the ground talking to locals and understanding what support they need.
Over the weekend we released a four-point River Rescue Plan focussed on prevention, mitigation and recovery.
Today, the government announced a support package which provides funding for many of the things we called for and we welcome that.
Funding is the first step and it’s important the government continues to ensure adequate access to critical resources such as emergency accommodation, sandbags and alternative sources of electricity to those cut off.
