It’s critical that Governments make bold policy decisions and set the pathway to a clean future, with plenty of notice to the community and businesses.
The 2035 phase out date and 80-90% sales target are two initiatives from the ACT’s new Zero Emissions Vehicles Strategy, which will be released in full later this week.
The next decade will see major shifts in vehicle technology, price and availability. The strategy will dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions (transport creates over 60% of ACT emissions), engage vehicle manufacturers, boost ZEV sales, generate new vehicle markets, new jobs and opportunities.
Just as the ACT is leading the transition to renewable energy, they are also leading the clean vehicle revolution.
