Louise Kingston officially sworn in as Member for the South West Region

The Nationals WA have today proudly welcome Louise Kingston as the newest member of their parliamentary team, following her official swearing-in as the Member for the South West Region.

Leader of the Nationals WA Shane Love praised Ms. Kingston’s deep-rooted ties to the South West, where she has resided her entire life, and commended her extensive background as a small business owner and community organiser.

“Louise’s remarkable dedication and her intimate understanding of the challenges facing the South West will make her an exceptional local champion,” Mr. Love said.

“In these critical times, with regional communities under unprecedented pressures under the Cook Labor Government’s watch, Louise is poised to be an effective advocate for the South West in the WA Parliament.”

Mr. Love emphasised the pivotal role of Ms. Kingston’s election in shaping the future of regional WA.

“Louise Kingston’s tireless advocacy for her constituents and her steadfast protection of vital industries such as agriculture, forestry, and local businesses will undeniably pave the way for a brighter future in the South West,” Mr Love said.

Ms. Kingston expressed her enthusiasm and readiness to champion the causes of regional industries within the Parliament, vowing to be a strong voice for her communities that have been overlooked by the current Cook Labor Government.

“I am deeply honoured to join The Nationals WA team,” said Ms. Kingston.

“Drawing from my career experiences, including establishing a thriving business in Manjimup, I am steadfast in my commitment to fight for local businesses, farmers, and families.

“The tired and overconfident approach of the Cook Labor Government towards our regions ends today in the South West.

“Today I give my commitment to never ever take a day on this job for granted. I will listen before I speak to fight for the people of my community.

“Our native forestry industry has suffered immensely under their governance, and it’s high time we restore vitality to our regional industries, the lifeblood of our communities.”

“Part of the Nationals WA team, The Nationals WA will continue to stand unwaveringly against Cook Labor Government’s disregard for regional WA, while seizing every opportunity to bring prosperity to the South West region.”
