We’re proud to have legislated Australia’s first ever nurse-to-patient ratios.
But we’ll do more – making sure our incredible nurses and midwives can continue to give their patients the care and attention they deserve.
A re-elected Labor Government will strengthen nurse-to-patient ratio laws, boosting the number of nurses on duty in our ICUs, High Dependency Units and Coronary Care Units.
And new parents will be well-cared for with a further 140 midwives doing the rounds in our hospitals.
It’ll mean Victorians continue to get world-class care – whenever they need it.
