Queensland just approved two new coal mines – Elizabeth Watson-Brown
The Winchester South and Vulcan South coalmines will generate a massive 594 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions (more than Australia’s total annual emissions) and bulldoze 2,700 hectares of koala habitat.
It’s clear that the Queensland Labor government is prioritising the profit of coal mining corporations over everyday Australians and the planet.
