Senate motion notes community opposition to weakening our racial discrimination laws

Greens spokesperson for multiculturalism, Dr Richard Di Natale, moved a motion in the Senate to note the serious concern amongst Victorians and representatives of Victoria’s multicultural community over the Government’s proposed changes to the Racial Discrimination Act.

It also noted the work of the Project18C campaign, which has resulted in 47 local councils passing motions opposing the change, representing over 5.1 million Australians.
