Emily’s husband is a chef, and does all the cooking at home too. He is exposed to gas fumes daily, and has a history of asthma. Her 3 young kids also love to cook. After recently learning the health risks associated with exposure to gas, Emily is really keen to switch to an all electric home. But the costs are a barrier.
The Victorian Greens have a plan to help 1 million families get their homes off gas with rebates and zero-interest loans of up to $6000, and grants for businesses too.
It’s time for Victoria to get off gas.
