Helen Haines MP

It was great to see so many people last week in Jamieson to celebrate the hard work and advocacy that has gone into the Jamieson Community Energy Node Project.

A true example of community spirit and strength.

This local community knows the devastating impacts of bush, floods and power outages and suffering significant losses in tourism and economic activity during those times.

Despite these challenges, the local community has formed a legacy of unity and resilience, establishing a Community Energy Node at the Memorial Hall.

Consisting of solar panels, an inverter and EV charging station at the Jamieson Memorial Hall. A community refuge during disasters.

Congratulations to Jamieson Community Group and all who were involved with planning and delivering this important piece of community infrastructure.

This project will serve to protect the Jamieson community for years to come.
