Its a long time since I proudly wore my St Vincent’s Hospital badge and walked the wards with my nursing mates. But when the sun went down today and all over Australia many of us were looking forward to the weekend I thought of the nurses everywhere working to care for us whatever the time of day. Some will be clocking off soon, but they will be replaced by all those clocking on for the night shift. Always a nurse.
