💩 Beyond athlete accommodation, and plans for urban gentrification, the state Labor government has no plans to address housing affordability –– despite a shedload of evidence that Olympic Games anywhere drive up house prices, rates and rents.
💩 The Queensland Audit Office report found that the government’s plans for social housing will not keep up with demand. While nearly 50,000 people are waiting for social housing right now, the government has no clear plan beyond making landlords wealthier.
Why does Labor at every level of government forget its roots when it comes to social housing?
