13 years ago today (13 August 2004), Labor helped the Liberals pass the devastating decision to ban same-sex marriage.
Bob Brown and then Democrats Senator Andrew Bartlett – who is now the Queensland Greens Convenor and most likely to be our new Senate voice – were some of the very few who stood up for equality.
