Student debt has exploded over the last decade and it’s only getting worse.
New analysis by from Senator Mehreen Faruqi’s office using a calculator prepared by the Parliamentary Library shows this year, debts will grow by thousands of dollars with high expected indexation.
We have to tackle this urgently. That’s why we are urging the Albanese government to support our bill to scrap indexation and raise the minimum repayment income on student debt. This will provide some much-needed relief to the millions with student debt.
