Jim lives in Sydney’s inner west, and has been a career firefighter for over twenty years. He’s a long term union activist and climate activist who’s seen his workplace transformed by extreme weather caused by the climate crisis.
Jim knows how to take it up to governments that attack workers’ pay and conditions – and he knows how to win. In 2012, Jim led NSW firefighters in their first all-out strike in 56 years, successfully protecting worker’s compensation entitlements.
Jim’s all in on fighting not just for the planet, but also for human dignity – for secure work, decent wages, housing, health and education. We’re so excited to have him on our ticket for the NSW Upper House!
