via Dr Amanda Cohn: Members of parliament tried to send the bill to ban harmful conversion practices to an inquiry yesterday morning. I’m not letting the LGBTQIA+ community go through another lengthy public inquiry that provides a platform for people to tell us that we are broken and need fixing.
Further delaying this bill would only prolong the devastation of conversion practices on peoples’ lives. The Greens made sure that the bill will be debated and can pass this week.
