No increased surveillance for berries since Hep A scandal

It is completely ludicrous that our regulatory bodies that are supposed to ensure sufficient biosecurity has not increased surveillance on berries since this scandal came to light. The failure to increase surveillance came to light in estimates this morning.
It is clear that our border protection is sluggishly reactive rather than preventative when it comes to keeping imported products safe, this is not assuring for any Australian consumer.
