Last week in parliament, my crossbench colleague Andrew Wilkie and I, ‘got creative’ to demonstrate the corporate supermarket pigs with their noses in the trough.

We announced legislation to even out the supermarket playing field, while creating parity between what producers are paid and what consumers pay.

A potato farmer being paid 99c per kg, while the customer pays over $4 just makes no sense, and is one of many examples of the ridiculous mark ups were seeing at the major supermarkets.
