Racism must be held to account. Hanson’s response in the chamber ended with offering to buy Mehreen “a plane ticket”. There is absolutely no remorse for her behaviour.
It’s disappointing that Labor made sure this wasn’t a formal censure in the chamber.
This afternoon Mehreen has lodged a complaint with the Australian Human Rights Commission over Senator Hanson’s attack tweet.
