Senator Whish-Wilson speaking on container deposit scheme inquiry
The Australian Greens issued a dissenting report following the conclusion of the Senate Inquiry into allegations of rorting in the South Australian and Northern Territory container deposit schemes.
The Inquiry was important because it reviewed the revenue and costing arrangements of existing container deposit schemes – and provided insights into how a national scheme would improve upon these.
